This Library was constructed with panelling in Medium Density Fibreboard veneered with Oregon Pine. This avoids any warping that would occur with solid pine. The main level contains many bookcases and cupboards, also a hidden drinks cabinet and refrigerator. There are concealed pine window shutters. click on images for expanded view |

The stairs lead to a mezzanine where an office area includes a computer desk constructed in the same material. There are also sofas on this level from where television or films can be viewed. They are projected onto a remotely controlled drop down screen from a video projector hidden in the pine obelisk. At night the room is lit by concealed lighting in the bookcases and cornices. |
