The Library is becoming an increasingly important room
in the house as people increasingly work from home. We incorporate any
features that you need such as audio and video systems, wireless
networks, a concealed safe, a bar and refrigerator and so on. The
rooms can be constructed in solid wood or
MDF with veneered or painted
finish.

This Library was constructed with
panelling in
Medium Density Fibreboard
veneered with Oregon Pine and finished with an ageing wax. The main level contains many bookcases and cupboards, also
a hidden drinks cabinet and refrigerator. There are concealed pine window
shutters. The stairs lead to a mezzanine where an office area includes a
computer desk constructed in the same material. There are also sofas on
this level from where television or films can be viewed. These are projected onto a remotely
controlled drop down screen from a video projector hidden in the pine
obelisk. At night the room is lit by concealed lighting in the bookcases
and cornices. computer desk with cupboards
behind false drawers for computer tower and printer. The centre drawer
folds down and contains the keyboard.

Special features of this room include panelled folding shutters that are
completely concealed when open. The gas log fire is controlled by the
central computer of the house as are the sound and video systems. An TV
projection screen automatically unfolds from within one of the panelled
walls when required.
